After 160 kilometres, the Plateau des Glières was the race's final finish line. Wearing the yellow jersey, BORA – hansgrohe once again took responsibility in the peloton and controlled a large breakaway throughout the day. Things became exciting with 5km to go: Carlos Rodriguez attacked and managed to go clear from Primož Roglič with second-placed Matteo Jorgenson and third-placed Derek Gee. While Rodriguez fought for the stage win, Jorgenson and Roglič battled it out for the yellow jersey. Ausgestattet mit dem Gelben Trikot übernahm BORA –&nbsp;hansgrohe erneut die Verantwortung im Feld und kontrollierte den ganzen Tag über eine große Ausreißergruppe. 5 Kilometer vor dem Ziel wurde es spannend: Carlos Rodriguez attackierte und konnte sich mit dem Zweitplatzierten Matteo Jorgenson und dem Drittplatzierten Derek Gee von Primož Roglič absetzen. Während Rodriguez um den Tagessieg kämpfte, entbrannte zwischen Jorgenson und Roglič ein Sekundenkampf um das Gelbe Trikot. He beat Matteo Jorgenson in a sprint at the ski resort of Samoëns 1600. Roglič extended his advantage in the GC and leads by 1:02 minutes after seven stages. Aleks Vlasov is also in 4th place ahead of the final day. &nbsp; By winning the queen stage, Roglič further leads the points classification and also took the best climber's jersey. Tomorrow is another super hard day.”</blockquote>&nbsp; BORA – hansgrohe took control of the peloton with the full team and kept the gap to a large leading group constant. With 45 kilometres to go, Marc Soler began a solo ride from the front of the race. On the climb to the Collet d'Allevard, Primož Roglič completed his team-mates' work perfectly by winning stage 6. It was the first of three mountain top finishes in a row at the Critérium du Dauphiné. During the second stage we worked all day, but it didn't work out. Yesterday every single one of us took quite a hard hit. I'm really happy with the spirit within the team. The team positioned itself perfectly with all seven riders. In the first half of the climb, the group of favourites continued to take shape. Around 20 riders went into the last 5 kilometres. Laurens de Plus attacked there - Aleks Vlasov followed, which turned out to be a key move for the finale. A short time later, Roglič split the chasing group with an increase in speed and caught up with Vlasov. Vlasov continued to accelerate with Roglič on his wheel and together with Giulio Ciccone they set off on the final 1.5 kilometres. Vlasov kept the pace so high to the 300-metre mark that all the chasers were distanced. It was there that Roglič took the lead and 100 metres later launched his sprint to celebrate a confident stage win.

Dort attackierte Laurens de Plus – Aleks Vlasov parierte und legte hier einen wichtigen Grundstein für das Finale. Wenig später teilte Roglič mit einer Tempoverschärfung die Gruppe und schloss mit vier Fahrern zu Vlasov auf. Vlasov beschleunigte mit Roglič am Hinterrad weiter und zusammen mit Giulio Ciccone gingen sie auf die letzten 1,5 Kilometer. Bis zur 300-Meter-Marke hielt Vlasov das Tempo so hoch, dass alle Verfolger distanziert waren. Dort übernahm Roglič die Führung und setzte 100 Meter später seinen Sprint an und fuhr souverän zum Etappensieg.
