Week after Clover

Hi everyone.

So the week after the Clover Tour I had quite an easy week to get my body recovered and ready for some more prep to this weekends Lost city Classic, Tour de Freestate and ultimately the Tour of China which starts the 9th of September.

This weekend though me and my MTN Qhubeka team mates are doing the Lost City Classic, this year round we’ve got a whole new route to deal with and this might change racing situations normally dealt with in this race. I goes past the Royal Bafikeng stadium in Rustenburg and then back to Sun City the last 30 odd km’s is still the same so the finish we all know.

We’re really looking to a good race result. As always me and my team mates strive to win.

Look for new posts after the race and then we’ve got the Tour de Freestate to deal with next week Wednesday. I’ll try to post during the tour regularly.

Ciao for now.

Looking Back

So we’re back from a very hard Clover Tour in the Lowveld. It was very good to race on all the hard roads of the Graskop Sabie area. The roads in the low veld is very tough even the flat roads feel like they go up.

I had 2 great wins and the team had 4 in the 6 stages. The Hill Climb TT I won was very good as I could ride at 347watts for 20min and won by 23sec. But it was sort of  surreal as you can’t really celebrate it. The next day I went out to try to win the tour, oh what a sweet victory that would’ve been. But it wasn’t to be but I managed to win the stage and it was an awesome felling crossing the line first after such a hard effort during the week.

The Team was awesome.

Now for an easy week to recover and refocus on Lost City Classic.

Clover Tour

Hi all

So these past couple of weeks I was preparing for the up coming Clover tour which is held in Graskop and the surrounding areas.

It went well and the past couple of races I felt quite good on the bike and could push myself to some new levels. This is a good race for me. I will be using this Tour and the Tour of Freestate for prep for our up coming international stint where the team will be doing Tour of China in China, the Sun Tour in Australia and Tour of Hainan on an island of the shore of China.

I’ll try to keep the post’s coming during the tour to keep all my  readers updated.
