Michael Valgren set to make a comeback to racing after 10-month recovery

Michael Valgren, who has been absent from the cycling scene for ten months due to rehabilitation, is set to make a comeback next week in the Régio Pays de la Loire Tour.

As per a report by Ekstra Bladet, Valgren has been added to the pre-selection for the upcoming French stage race from April 4 to April 7. The final roster for the EF Education-EasyPost team will be disclosed shortly before the commencement of the race.

After sustaining a serious crash in the Route d'Occitanie in June 2022, which left him with a dislocated hip, broken pelvis and a knee injury, Valgren had expressed his desire to return in May, making his return in April earlier than anticipated.

He was given time to fully recover by EF Education-EasyPost, which led to him signing a contract with EF Education-Nippo Development. This arrangement would enable him to transition to WorldTeam as soon as he is fit enough to do so.
