UAE Team Emirates have taken a strong team into the Italian Autumn classics, and they have brought some profit today at Tre Valli Varesine as Tadej Pogacar took the win out on the road.
The race saw constant attacks from several figures, including dangerous late moves from Enric Mas and Vincenzo Nibali who looked to take advantage of the many opportunities there were to attack the race. However it was all meant to come down to a sprint at the end.
There, Tadej Pogacar was the strongest in the group, taking his first win following the World Championships and just in time for Il Lombardia. Sergio Higuita and Alejandro Valverde completed the podium in a tight sprint.
