Sergeant and Lelangue continue Twitter spat - "You already did most of the work and helped to create those holes"

The feud from within past and current Lotto Soudal management continued, as team CEO John Lelangue did not stay silent on the accusations of former team manager Marc Sergeant.

The whole situation comes from the departure of Lelangue as team's CEO. He took up the role in 2018, and will be leaving at the end of this season as the team is set to relegate out of the World Tour, to take up a position as the general manager of the Tour de Pologne.

The decision wasn't taken lightly by Marc Sergeant, former long-term manager of the Belgian team, who accused Lelangue of creating holes within the team, and later on being the first to "abandon the ship".

Lelangue responded on Twitter to this comment however, saying that "before I arrived (also after) you already did most of the work and helped to create those holes". He's also wrote "#truthwillsooncome" suggesting that it is Sergeant's to blame for issues within the team. After three complicated seasons, Lotto Soudal is set to relegate this season as they didn't manage to get enough points to complete the set of years within the best 18 teams in the men's peloton.
