Matrix Fitness is a British professional cycling team, which competes in elite road bicycle racing and track cycling events. For the 2015 season the team was promoted to the top level of professional Womens cycling and as such the team can now compete in events like the UCI Women's Road World Cup. The team is sponsored by Matrix Fitness, [1] Milltag,[2] and Vulpine.[3]

Team history[edit]

2014[edit]

The team announced that in 2015 they would be come a UCI Women's team.[4] Trek will sponsor the team for the first season in the top division of Womens cycling, with the team riding the same bikes as the mens Lidl–Trek team.[5][6]

Riders in[edit]

For the 2015 season the team signed track World Champions, Elinor Barker[7] and Laura Trott[8] from rival British team Wiggle High5. The team also signed Sara Olsson (Team Hitec Products),[9] Lucy Martin (Estado de México-Faren Kuota), Christina Siggaard (Firefighters Upsala CK)[10] and Molly Weaver[11]. The team also negotiated contract extensions with Melissa Lowther, Harriet Owen, Penny Rowson and Jessie Walker.
